Nutty cream

Nutty cream is a spirals recipe easily finds way to the top of my favorite list. No other ingredient will make nutty cream cheese spirals taste so yummy than cheese.

Ingredients:
YIELD: ABOUT 1½ CUPS
½ cup lightly toasted slivered
almonds or raw cashews, or
1½ tablespoons almond butter
or other nut butter of choice
1½ cups firm silken tofu,
well drained
1 to 1¼ cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon rum, hazelnut
liqueur, amaretto, or liqueur
of choice (optional)

Method - Nutty cream
Process the nuts into a paste in a food processor, stopping to scrape down the sides of the container as needed.

Add the remaining ingredients and

process until very smooth and creamy.

Cover tightly and refrigerate for 2 to 12 hours before serving.

Store leftover crème in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
